Greetings Ladies & Gentlemen,

If you have not been a member in the past, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our homepage. Here is a list of exciting features we offer to registered members and we want you to be the first to hear them. But first, a brief history about this website and how we got to this stage of our development.

Black Conscious Network.com was started on May 10, 2001 as a concept to give African American's an independent voice through the internet. Unlike before, many of our people had to rely on information that was "broadcasts" to them, which did not allow for interactive communications. As a result, many of us were left disconnected and over reliant on sectors from other communities who did not appreciate us as a people.

But that has all changed thankfully. With the shear commitments and ingenuity from certain people from our community, we were able to develop Black Conscious Network.com into a fledging online community. However, it did not happen overnight.

Since we weren't operating as a business entity in 2001, we had to rely on our own personal funds. And, because that was the scenario we were dealing with, it took us a lot longer to accomplish our goals.

But commitment to offer a community dedicated to sharing knowledge and information concerning the African American community was just too difficult to pass up. So when it came time to put this online community together, we worked day and night until it came to fruition. As you can see commitments can bring a lot to someone's dreams.

It might not come the next hour, the next day, or the next year, but if you stick with it long enough, it will come and when it does, you will be glad that you stayed the course.

I hope I had a good impression on everyone reading this message and I hope you sign up to our community today. There is a lot that this forum can offer you and we expect the same from you. Thanks for reading our introductory message and may you stay blessed in God's eyes.

Oh! one more thing. Black Conscious Network.com will feature a forum, a chatroom, a blog that our members can create, a profile module and much, much, more. In the future, we plan to offer video chat, but that will depend on the ability to finance this development.
